This is the back.
After working all those pebbles it was a nice change to move onto the flowers. These were the only part of the quilt top that I marked before stitching. Everything else is freehand.
I worked a swirly circle pattern on the rainbow border, changing my thread according to the colours. I used Guterman Sulky varigated threads.
I still have to go back and do some more work on the butterflies and also on the churn dash blocks but it is not far from being finished now. I even have the binding all made and ready to go!
This is how it's looking on my bed ... I'm loving how this one is turning out - pity it doesn't match the decor in my room!
Off to do the food shop now then back to my workroom.
See you all next time.
Rhianon.

thanks everyone for your brilliant comments. I would love to keep this quilt as I think it's my best work to date but it is a custom order for a lady in America. Maybe she can enter it into a show?

This quilt is totally amazing. Wish I were that lucky person in America - I'd happily repaint the bedroom just to welcome it home!
Stunning... Simply Stunning! I think I use that word more in comments on your site than I do in all other use of language combined. Your work simply blows me away!

OH, BOY!!! Holy smokes, Rhianon - this quilt is STUNNING! Wow. I'm so glad I stayed awake long enough to surf to this point on my blogroll. :D (been away so long with the move that the unread list is phenomenal)
I sure do love the colors, the design, and especially the quilting. Your heart must really sing when you take breaks to look at this!
Hey - and this is all on a table-top, right? You don't have a longarm, do you?
Wonderful, göttliche Schönheit! Ich bin nur durch Ihre Arbeit fassungslos!
