Hello
Yes, I'm afraid it's another cushion from me this week. I seem to make a lot of them but this one is for my living room. I'm slowly replacing the ones we have as they are looking a bit 'tired'.
The center is a Jennie Rayment block which I'd started a quilt group a couple of weeks back.
It doesn't look as good as it could becasue the cushion pad is a little small - need to get a slightly bigger one.
Again I used sparkly Guetermann Sulky thread to quilt the black background.
I hand embroidered the blue diamonds with DMC stranded cotton.
I quilted pebbles on the inner border and feathers (of course!) on the outer border.
I have been working on a major project but I am waiting until next week to show you as I will be hosting the linky party for TGIFF!! Need to have something good don't I ?
M R from Quilt Matters is the hostess with the mostess this week so pop over and see whats been going on.
I'm off to get some serious sewing done today. See you all next time.
Rhianon.
PS Want a wee giggle ? Then head over to Quokka Quilts and read Laura's product review - I promise it will make you smile.

Hand Dyed Quilted Cushion #2
When I dyed the fabric for the cushion in the previous post, I also did another panel. This time the colours were purples, browns and rusts.
I made this panel into another cushion.
I machine quilted a pretty feathers and flowers design.
Close up of quilting.
Again this cushion has a white satin ruffle with cream lace.
I love how these cushions turned out -I think they are pretty and girly.
Today I started a new quilt using bright batiks ( my favourite) on a black background. It has already been claimed by daughter #1 !!!
Tonight I hope to get the binding sewn onto the baby quilt, so perhaps another post before the weekend is out.
Hope you all have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Hand Dyed Quilted Cushion
I was pleased to get this cushion finished this week. It's been sitting in a pile of UFO's so I thought it was about time I did something with it.
I hand dyed the fabric myself, using a method called disperse dying.
It is machine quilted with a touch of hand embroidery.
Quilting detail.
It measures 18" x 18" and is edged with lemon lace and a white satin ruffle.
The back is plain white cotton.
I am selling this cushion. Details on my Nifty Stitcher Facebook page.
I hope to have 2 more finishes before the week is out and as always a few more projects brewing in my head!!!
Have a good week :)
