Bloggers Quilt Festival - Fall 2014

Its that time again!  Over at Amy's Creative Side, the twice yearly competition is just about to get underway. It's always a feast for quilters eyes.  A huge thank you to Amy and all the sponsors.

Click the link or the logo in my sidebar to take you to the action!

My first entry this time is my Owl Baby Quilt into the Home Machine Quilted category.

I made this in the spring of this year and it is all my own design.  The owls, leaves and tree are machine appliqued.  It has been copied so there may be other versions floating around on the internet but I did the original design.

It is all freehand free motion quilting done on my domestic machine, a Janome 1600P

If you would like to vote for my quilt click HERE.  Thank you if you do decide to give me your vote and thank you for visiting today.  Enjoy the festival!!!

  8. Definitely unique, and it's a shame if people have copied it without crediting your original design. Love the swirls in the border and the sideways looks from the owls.

  10. Rhianna, your owls are adorably cute. The eyes and how they are looking at each other just make it! The FMQ is very impressive and sets the owls off beautifully.
