Celtic Solstice - Part 6, the big reveal!
I can't believe I forgot to do this post but better late than never!
New Years Day saw Bonnie revealing the conclusion to her mystery quilt.
All the units we've been making over the last 6 weeks went together to make these 2 blocks.
Put together, they look like this.
These photos were taken with a flash and make the colours look a bit garish.
I still have the final borders to put on. I'm trying to decide which colou for this. Either the greens or the yellows/golds.
I was distracted by this arriving - my very first hand crank vintage sewing machine. Cannot wait to sew on her after she has been cleaned up.
Anyway, back to the mystery. I love how it turned out and I think this has been my favourite one so far.
Huge thank you to Bonnie for her generosity in giving us this free pattern and taking the time to make it so much fun for us all.
Think its safe to say I'll be doing it again next year!
Happy Stitchin'
Rhianon.
PS I'll be back to update this page with more photos once my quilt is finished..
You colors are perfect and I love the way it came out. Bonnie is surely the world's top quiltaholic! Can't wait to see yours all quilted!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful Rhianon. Great color and piecing on your part. I think the gold would be a nice border, but then; so would the green..lol
