Bohemian Bag

Hi everyone.

It's been a busy week although I don't really have that much to show for it.
I made this bag for my sister's birthday...

The fabric is Bohemian Rhapsody from Hoffman fabrics - isn't it gorgeous?   It was a fat quarter pack I got from the last quilt show and I am definitely going to have to buy some more to make a quilt.

I free motion quilted around the Suffolk puff (yoyo) just to add a little interest - it looked bare without it and a slightly larger puff underneath didn't look right either.

My sister loved her bag and when she showed it to our Mum, she complained that it was nicer than her bag.
oh dear, think I'd better make another one!

Also this week, I've been working on bed runners.

This is one of them, quilted and waiting to be bound, the other one will be quilted today.
Show you them next time.
Rhianon.

Linking up today with Confessions of a fabirc addict.  Why not nip over and see what others have been up to this week?

  1. I just love the flower quilted around the yoyo! (And I'm really digging the new-to-me term of "puff")

  2. Your bag is awesome! is that the same as one on the Missouri quilt shop tutorial??....I gotta make one of those! I forgot what you use for a closure? is it a magnetic snap? I'm making chicken feed bags today....not near as pretty but functional for grocery shopping...
