My next project.

Thought I'd let you see my next project ( well one of them).
Last year I did a block swap once a month with my talented and very creative pen pal , Shelley from Australia.  At the end of the year we have 12 blocks that we have made the other.  Our theme was "girlie".

It was a lot of fun and now I have to decide how I am going to put them together. ............  Watch this space!

Progress with Roll, Roll cotton Boll.

Due to quilt group being cancelled yesterday because of the snow (again), I was able to make some good progress with this monster of a quilt.  I say monster because of it's size.  It's huge and it still has 2 borders to go on.  I'll be working on them later.

Hi there.
I've decided to start doing a proper blog about my quilting life and other creative passions.
At the moment I am working on 2 quilts and a wall hanging.

Main project of the moment is Bonnie Hunters ( http://www.quiltville.com/) Mystery quilt, Roll, Roll, Cotton Boll.   It started 8 weeks ago in November and has certainly kept me busy over the Christmas holidays.  I have almost finished the quilt top.   It's the most fun I've had in ages.

I loved making the string blocks so much that I started a spin off quilt for my Mum's birthday.  It has quite a lot of hand applique on it ( for me anyway) but I have almost finished quilting it ( by hand).

My other project I have on the back burner is my Japanse Wall Hanging.  Just a liitle more quilting to go and that will be done too.
